One Police Officer, Villager Killed, Okada Rider Abducted In Nasarawa Community—PPRO By Rabiu Omaku,Lafia
The Police Public Relation Officer, Nasarawa state Command, ASP,Umar Numan has confided the killing of one police officer and a villager in Arikya community of Lafia Local Government of the state.
Numan in a telephone interview revealed that a police officer who escorted a villager (staff of ministry for Local Government) popularly called Arikya when to the bush to fetch woods to rehabilitate his burned house aftermath of the destructed meted to the entire community in the recent farmers/fulani clash meet their Waterloo.
He further said the villager died instantly while the police officer lost his life at a hospital while on admission,ASP Numan ,also confided that the Okada rider was nowhere to be found as of this moment.
“As of this time I can’t tell you which people carryout that heinous crime,He said police force are on top of the situation,He however maintain police would unmask those behind the killings”.
But speculation going round by villagers revealed that Fulani pastoralism committed the crime,Further information available at press time revealed that the private part of Arikya was removed by his assailants.
