One Killed In Jos As Armed Robbers Invade Family’s House

At least one person has been reportedly killed by suspected Hoodlums in Unguwan Rogo area of Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau state.

According to a witness from the area who gave the name of the deceased as Ahmed Tijani and pleaded for anonymity revealed that the incident occurred at about 12pm midnight even before everybody gone to bed.

The source said that suspected the gangsters invaded the deceased’s house after being informed that he had collected three million naira yesterday for a house he sold but he kept the money in the bank before coming back home last night (Monday night), adding that the body of the deceased had lots of cuts and wounds.

He lamented that recently, there were lot of similar cases in most of the Hausa communities in Jos where lives were being lost by gangsters and action had not been taking to arrest the spread of the activities of hoodlums.

He added that with the presence of police and vigilante group in Unguwan Rogo, such criminality should not have been taking place in the area, calling on the security to take proactive majors on the spread of killing and other criminality in the area.
