Delta State governorship aspirant, Dr. Ngozi Olejeme will arrive in Lagos Sunday to attend the 18th Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe Commemorative event.
A statement from the Olejeme Campaign Organization in Asaba said some of her lieutenants would be accompanying her to the event.
The statement signed by the Director of Communications, Olejeme Campaign Organization, Mr. Henry Ebireri quoted Olejeme as saying that “I will be present at this historic occasion”.
Praising the late Head of State for promoting citizen participation, openness and accountability in government, the statement said “Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe’s contributions during the struggle for independence, his sacrifices for nation building and his advancement of democratic values and practices in the country are impossible to estimate”
“The Delta State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) aspirant is also expected to hold talks with Ndi-Anioma Group in Lagos. The discussion will focus on issues relating to the unity and the future of the people”
“She will also use the event in enlightening Ndigbo on ways to good leadership and her contributions toward the development of Nigeria”
The event would take place at 2: 00pm at the Nigeria Institute of International Affairs (NIIA), Victoria Island, Lagos
