Nyako Hails APC Nomination, Vows To Remain With Party and Support

His Excellency Vice-Admiral Mutala Hammanyero Nyako (Rtd) has commended the National Leadership of the APC for coming up with a democratic and grassroots based nomination process in the selection of candidates for elections in the country. He made the commendation in a directive he gave his Press and Publicity office calling on them to issue a statement to that effect. Admiral Nyako said even though he is confident that the Judiciary will return him to office since the process of his forceful and undemocratic removal was illegal; he felt happy that the APC is set to entrench genuine democracy in Nigeria.
He was very optimistic that despite a few bad eggs within the judicial system, the Nigerian Judiciary as an institution is still populated with highly responsible, credible and honorable men and women on the bench. He reminded his people of the reversal of the illegal removals of Joshua Dariye, Rashidi Ladoja and Peter Obi. However, he urged his supporters and APC faithfuls in the state to embrace the current reality and prepare for the October elections which may just be a repeat of the case in Anambra State when Andy Uba assumed office after winning an election, only to vacate office after 16 days when the courts returned Peter Obi.
Admiral Nyako also vowed to remain within the APC and support only APC candidates in all elections at all levels and at all times. He therefore wishes to reiterate his commitment to the ideals of the APC as a political party. His commitment to the party was further boasted by the fact that the Party has proved to be truly democratic and progressive by the manner it has handed over its nomination process to the people at the grassroots as opposed to those who hand over the process to some unknown political godfathers in Abuja or the State capitals. Consequently he wishes to state very categorically that he never sent anyone or asked any of his supporters to support any candidate within the PDP. Anyone who supports a PDP candidate in the State has done so in exercise of his or her democratic rights as citizens but not as a result of a directive from Admiral Nyako or in support of his political position. This clarification is necessary in order to debunk the romour being peddled by some mischief makers in Adamawa State.
