“The police has since submitted their investigation over the alleged N982m financial scandal and recommended that the secretary and consultant be handed over to the EFCC,” the source said.
This, according to insider from the board has deterred the board from embarking on new projects or complete the ongoing projects, He added.
As gathered from the source in NSUBEB, having concluded their investigation, the Police have since submitted their investigation to the Governor, whom it was alleged by the source has sat on it without returning it to the Police so that it will be submitted to EFCC .
The police according to an investigation were notified by the state governor after the invitation of the management of NSUBEB by Nasarawa state House of Assembly over an allegation of financial incongruity, The lawmakers confided that a whooping N1bn was siphoned by the secretary, Yakubu Ahmed Ubangari and the consultant to the board,Usman Ahmed Sarki.
The board is heading towards Armageddon following the absence of overhead cost to ministries, boards and parastatals.
When this reporter contacted the state Police Public Relation Officer,  ASP. Numan to know it actually the Police has finished their investigation, he declined, comment on the report, instead promised to contact our reporter for more information.
