The Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly said casual workers will soon smile home with the move on the pipeline to coop them into the mainstream civil service, the management staff of the Assembly and Parliamentary Staff Association of Nigeria ( PASAN) passed a vote of confidence on the speaker.
The Rt. Hon speaker, Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi was applauded over his leadership qualities and improved workers welfare,the acting clerk of the House , Mr Ibrahim Musa and PASAN chairman, comrade Dauda Nuhu gave the commendation when they paid a thank you visit to the speaker in his office in Lafia.
The acting clerk and the parliamentary union leader said that they were at the speaker’s office to appreciate him over improvement in their welfare and his all-inclusive leadership qualities urging him to sustain the tempo.
They passed a vote of confidence on the speaker for his leadership style, they prayed for more prosperity, success and God’ guidance and protection.
The speaker Ibrahim Balarabe Abdillahi while responding, appreciated the management and parliamentary union of the assembly for the visit and has assured them of more good days ahead.
He said very casual staff will be given permanent and pensionable appointments,ssying It is an issue that we have discussed extensively with the governor.
The speaker said many of the casual staff have spent more than 10 years having dependants,saying the struggle is a fruitful struggle for the interest of all.
” I thank you sincerely for the visit and I urge you to continue in this spirit, the spirit of teamwork, unity and togetherness so that together we can take Nasarawa assembly to an enviable
height”
He thanked the workers in the assembly for their maximum cooperation and the union,all and sundry to sustain it,”
