The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Osun State Command has cautioned residents against engaging in Ponzi Schemes so as not to fall prey of fraudsters.
The Deputy Commandant, Adelaja Daramola who is the Head of Anti-Fraud Unit of the Corps also advised residents to be wary of fraudulent online investments.
Speaking at the NSCDC headquarters in Osogbo on Monday, Daramola said some fraudulent people would deceptively uses chemicals to change plain papers to dollars in front of their victims and ask them to pay for chemicals to change as much plain papers to dollars as they want.
DCC Daramola also advised residents to be careful with bitcoin transaction. He said Bitcoin accounts might be hacked and be used to defraud unsuspecting people.
The State Commandant of the Corps, Ocheja Emmanuel said the Corps would arrest and prosecute any one perpetrate fraud under the guise of online business.
