NSCDC Apprehends 26 Year Old Man For Alleged Sodomy In Kazaure

The security personnel of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Jigawa State Command, has apprehended one Manir Sulaiman 26 years of Tohon Kafi quarters in Kazaure town of Kazaure local government area of Jigawa state.

The suspect was arrested for an alleged case of defiling an eight-year-old boy.  He was arrested on Wednesday, 29th day of September 2021 following a complaint lodged by the father of the victim, an Eight (8) year old boy (name withheld) of the same address.

The father stated that every morning his son sneaks to a nearby quarter popularly called Kanti, and that made him became suspicious. Out of curiosity, he subjected his ward to interrogation and he disclosed his sexual relationship with the suspect (Manir), which, according to him, he did not even know his name. He told his father that every morning when he goes out, the suspect used to take him to a nearby farm, and commit sodomy with him, and gives him the sum of N500 Naira on each encounter.

A trap was set up by the NSCDC operatives, and at around 0720hrs the suspect was caught red-handed after he has removed his trouser to engage the victim sexually at the described farm.

A medical examination conducted at the Sexual Assault and Referral Center, Dutse General Hospital, revealed evidence of repeated sexual penetration.

The suspect will be charged to court, after a thorough investigation for possible prosecution.

Meanwhile, the State Commandant MUSTAPHA TALBA (CC), has strongly warned perpetrators of the similar ungodly acts to desist, or if apprehended will face the full wrath of the law.

Assuring that after investigation the suspect will be taken to court to serve as a deterrent to others.
