A former Permanent Secretary Security and Gubernatorial Aspirant for the 2019 under People Democratic Party, PDP, Barr. Timothy Parlong has urged citizens of middle belt to rise up and re-organize themselves to be on red alert.
Speaking to our correspondent on Tuesday at Rwang Street, Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau state, Parlong condemns the spark of unprovoked attack on innocent civilians.
He said ,with what is happening to our villages no community is safe people are no longer safe in rural area their lives are hunted butchered by yet to be unidentified group of people.
According to him, government must wake up and safeguard the lives of unprovoked people because human lives are involved so Federal government have all the gadgets to exposed those behind the dastardly act.
Hon Parlong called on PMB to sit up ,he is in charge of security apparatus let him direct them to do their work ,NIA ,should bring to book those perpetrators hiding in and coming to killed in the night .
We encourage Muhammadu Buhari to take a bold step and fish out the killer of Benue massacre; we have seen enough bloodbaths in this country.
Hon Timothy Parlong said that he feel more qualified to sustain the current insecurity bedeviling the country, as he inspired to lead Plateau people to the Promised Land.
According to him, his wealth of experience as a career civil servant beginning with Chief Solomon Daushep Lar to Former Governor Jonah David Jang had exposed him to so many intrigue of good governance.
He said that the Benue attack left a lot to be desire people continue to ask questions so many of the killings spree all over the country are because cows were killed?.
Parlong express worried that the reprisals attack was a hiding agenda which yet to be made known to the public because cows’ killers should not led to hatred and maiming of Benue communities this is not looking natural.
He condemned the killings completely, by commending the Governor Samuel Ortom for standing to defense the security and lives of his people.
As a chief security officer of Benue people, Governor Ortom is helpless there are strong forces but we the people of middle belt applause your courage
