The Plateau State Chapter of the All Progressive Congress ,APC, Secretary ,Alh Bashir Musan-Sati has said ,there is no single aspirant ready to contest the seat of governorship with the incumbent, Governor Simon Bako Lalong in the forthcoming 2019 general polls under the party.
According to him, over 102 aspirants had purchased the 2019 intention form to vie for Plateau State House of Assembly with Jos North coming top list of the councils.
Musan-Sati confirmed that all the returned forms by aspirants have been forwarded to the party’s national headquarters in Abuja by the organising secretary and administration officer in charge.
Musan -Sati told journalists that the returned forms that were forwarded include 102 returned forms by aspirants contesting for the 24 Constituency seats in the Plateau State House of Assembly, across the 17 Local Government Areas (LGAs) of the state would adequately be screened.
He explained further that the forthcoming 2019 general elections will witness tremendous success, as aspirants on the platform of various political parties in country, has also embarked on the process of returning their Interest and Nomination forms to their party’s National Headquarters in Abuja.
He said; “I am sure you would have seen that we are not making noise over the exercise and activities taking place in the state chapter of the party in the state because, immediately the party won election in 2015, the party went into governance that would provide the needed and expected dividends of democracy in the state.
Musan-Sati pointed out ,”from the forms so far returned, no member is contest against the incumbent Governor, Rt. Hon. Simon Bako Lalong, but we have 102 returned forms, from State House of Assembly aspirants from the 17 LGAs in the state.
“You must be aware that those aspirants for the National Assembly seats pick and return their forms to the National Headquarters of the party”.
