The Vice Chancellor of Bingham University, Karu Nasarawa state, Professor Samuel Leonard-Fwa has disclosed that no single money has come as a fund to the institution either as a donation or intervention by either federal or state government.
He stated this during a chat with members of the Nigeria Union of Journalists who are on an assessment tour of facilities at the private university; the vice chancellor also indicated that the intervention by the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFUND) is yet to be accessed by the institution.
The seasoned academician expressed worry over the neglect of Bingham university, as he enumerated the funding of the fastest growing university is not an exercise in futility.
He appealed to other highly placed and the affluent persons in the society to assist the institution, professor Leonard-Fwa listed some of the nagging challenges of Bingham University to include shortage of classroom and hostel accommodation.
