NO INTERNAL DEMOCRACY IN ACCORD PARTY

  • INEC SHOULD PUBLISH DR. HYGERS IFEANYI IGWEBUIKE’S NAME AS THE ACCORD PARTY’S GOVERNORSHIP CANDIDATE FOR THE ANAMBRA STATE ELECTION

Dr. Hygers Ifeanyi Igwebuike won the Anambra state ACCORD party governorship primary with over 122 votes as against 4 votes scored by his closest rivalry. To the surprise of all, the national chairman and his secretary forwarded the name of a candidate who never participate at the primary. INEC, who did not only supervise the primary but also endorsed the result by two out of the three of her staff who supervised the exercise, threw away Dr. Hygers name and published that who clearly did not participate at the primary.
Where do we go from here? Meanwhile, the candidate whose name was published has not printed a single poster neither has anybody seen him. Finding has it that one of the governorship candidates, who have been throwing money around, even though he is currently facing all sorts of criminal charges, including mismanaging the fuel subsidy money, was speculated to have given a whopping sum to some officials of the party to ensure that no candidate emerges from ACCORD party.

Even with the weighty and well revealing petition submitted by the BOT chairman of ACCORD party challenging the action of the party’s chairman and his secretary, in addition to an order obtain from the court by Dr. Hygers, INEC has turned a deaf ear and blind eyes. The name of Emeka Nwankwo has remained as ACCORD party’s candidate for the forthcoming Anambra state governorship election.
Who is Emeka Nwankwo? Anambrarians should please tell Nigerians if the poster of this name has ever been sighted anywhere in that state or his campaign program witnessed by anybody.
Nigerians should please lend their voices and beg INEC to do the right thing to not only save our democracy but also add a level of integrity to the whole thing.
I am really getting fed up with our democracy.
