NNPC Built And Commission Students Hostels In FUD Teaching Hospitals

The Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) has commissioned a student hostel it built at the Rasheed Shikoni FUD Teaching hospital in Dutse.

The project which is a student hostel for Male and females with a capacity of 44 rooms each can contain over 280 students.

The Managing Director of the NNPC Mele Kolo Kiyari who was represented by Malam Ahmed Laminu commissioned the hostels, as he said that a total of N500 million was spent on the construction of the two hostels and provision of water, electricity well as the provision of mattresses and beds to students,

He added that the construction of the students’ hostel is part of their corporate social responsibilities as he said further that the projects which were started last year in March were completed in January this year.

The vice-chancellor of the university Professor Fatima Batulu Muktar said such a project is the first of its kind which was completed and commissioned in FUD Teaching hospital.
