NLC National Level Wade Into Nasarawa Workers Strike, Compels NUT,MHWUN,NULGE,JUSUN To Ensure Total Shutdown

Piqued with the ongoing Organized Labour strike in Nasarawa state, the national body,the Nigeria Labour Congress has compelled the embattled chairman of the Union, Abdullahi Adeka to join the ongoing organized Labour strike in the state or risked his chairmanship position.

The spokesman of the Union stated this while briefing workers at the state ministry of Works and Transport, Comrade Iya said the national body wadesd into the impasse leading to faction in the Organized Labour in the state.

According to Iya, Comrades we commended your effort and patience in our struggle to ensure that the state government did the needful.

“It was resolved yesterday at Abuja as follows”.

  1. That all affiliates of NLC like the Nigeria Union Teachers (NUT) Medical and Health Workers Union (MWHWUN) Nigeria Union of Local Government Emoloyee (NULGE) Judicial Staff Union of Nigeria (JUSUN) who are currently not on strike should join immediately.
  2. That Abdullahi Adeka should announce in the media that he is in support of the ongoing strike.
  3. That Abdullahi Adeka should do so with effect from today Wednesday 24/may/2017.
  4. After all these, Adeka should be returned as NLC chairman,
