Nigerians Are Suffering And PDP Will Return – Daika

Rt. Hon. George Daika, the former Speaker, Plateau State House of Assembly and former member, House of Representatives representing Shendam, Mikang and Quan-pan has sympathized with Nigerians over the suffering inflicted on them by the All Progressive Congress (APC) Government of President Muhammadu Buhari and Governor Simon Bako Lalong and calls for patience and calm.

Daika condemned the self inflicted suffering on Nigerians by the clueless and visionless APC Government in the country in a media chat by gurus in his Murtala Way Office, Jos, the Plateau State capital.

The dogged politician slammed the situation where stealing of food on stoves and criminality are common occurrence in today’s Nigeria because of the economic recession which has degenerated to depression.

Speaking on the perceived rift in the PDP between Sen. Modu Sheriff and Alh. Ahmed Makarfi; Daika said there is no institution that does not have skirmishes here and there, but reconciliation committee of the PDP with eminent personalities is handling the matter and very soon, the party will come out united, stronger and recapture power in 2019.

On the issue of 2019 Plateau State Governorship, George Daika said that the PDP, under the leadership of Elder D. T. Sango in the state is responsive and responsible to the yearnings of party members, thus, as an abiding member of the party, they are waiting for the party’s decision on what to do.

He continued “though loved ones have been holding meetings, we await party pronouncement. Everyone is returning to the PDP now because it is the party to beat”.

Speaking on the blame game of the APC that the PDP ruled for 16 years and destroyed the nation, Daika said that it is laughable as those who made President Buhari’s ministerial list are those who served the PDP at various times so why the hullabaloo?

Hon. George Daika described Governor Simon Lalong’s probe panel as a diversion from their ineptitude to rescue the people of plateau. He said the panel is illegal because the House of Assembly did’t seat to demand for a probe.

When asked whether he knew anything called padding during their in the House of Representatives, he said padding is not a constitutional word but the National Assembly has the right to reduce or add allocation to any ministry, department and agency, thus, the failed APC quest to control the leadership of the National Assembly. He said some leaders of the APC are using Jibrin to destroy Rt. Hon. Yakubu Dogara and Senator Bukola Saraki because they are Middle Beltants.

On the leadership style of President Buhari, Daika said he is not as corrupt free as he wants Nigerians to believe considering the scandal during his service as the Minister of Petroleum and the PTF Chairman. He said the appropriate for Buhari would have been Chairman of EFCC and not the President of Nigeria.
