A very sensitive and misunderstood dispute/crimes. The Governments at all level should handle this issue of the Cattle rustling with its attendant dispute/ crime with atmost caution and care. The scenario is not what we see. Cattle rustling and Farmer/Fulani dispute is as old this Country. The Government and all Stakeholders must find out the genesis of this crisis if a solution to stop/minimise same is intended. What are Economic benefit of these Crimes/Dispute, who benefit and who is not playing his/her role Government, Community/Religious Leaders ? What do think can warrant arresting any Fulani man in a Market place to kill and burn him to ashes and a group of Fulani armed men to attack a Village, kill and burn almost everything there to ashes. How do these Fulanis get these dangerous and high calibre arms ? What is making these dispute and crimes to continue ? What is the role of poverty, illiteracy and ethnicity/religion in this ? For now, do we care to ascertain beyond reasonable doubt that those being arrested are Cattle rustlers and those being handed over the so-call recovered animals are true and rightful owners. Is the Government or Authority not helping thieves to steal from innocent but armed Nomads ?

Is the Government or Authority not easily helping another group of thieves to steal from some innocent but armed Nomads ? Is force really the solution to this dispute/Crime ? Am happy to recently hear the Hon. Minister of Agric with some real solutions. May those fuelling the Crisis intentionally and others doing so ignorantly permit him to test these measures.
