NUP New Leadership taking oath of office

Irked over the unabated inclusion of ghost retirees, the omission of pensioners in Nasarawa state, the new Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Pensioners, Danjuma Avre has said his administration would engage the state through peaceful means and round table discussion to put a stop to the trend once and for all.
He stated this shortly after he was declared the winner as the new chairman of NUP in the state, an election that was held at Ibrahim Abacha Youth Centre.
He buttressed that the new leadership would be designed a roadmap on how the backlog of gratuity and pension can be reduced holistically.
Appealing to members to accord the new executive their utmost support and to enable them to succeed.
The chairmanship contest was between Comrade, Danjuma Avre, and Timothy Maji respectively.
Comrade Avre said the new executive would work for the best interest of members by ensuring that issues of welfare which has to do with the timely payment of entitlement remind the focus of the new executive.
The chairman of the electoral committee, Comrade Asoloko Maku while declaring the outcome of the election announced Danjuma Avre as the winner, polling 143 lawful votes,
