Nigeria Military Recaptures Baga, Heavy Casualties In Battle Says Defence Headquarters
The Nigeria Military this afternoon said it has captured Baga town which has been under the control of the Boko Haram Insurgents.
In his twitter handle the Director Defence Information, Major General Chris Olukolade said that Nigeria troops on Saturday afternoon reclaimed the town of Baga.
According to his tweets it reads thus; “FLASH: Troops have this afternoon captured #BAGA after fierce battle with terrorists. Heavy Casualties. Mopping up ongoing. Details later”
He also said that there has been fierce battle in the bid to the reclaiming of Baga, as there was heavy casualties as well as mop-up operations which is still ongoing.
