Niger State Transition Committee : My Take By James Bawa

Your Excellency, Alhaji Abubakar Sani Bello, may I once again congratulate you on your victory at the just concluded governorship elections regarded the most conducted free and fair elections since the return of democracy in Nigeria. Sir, your emergence is also a clear testimony of the much desired CHANGE Niger State needs.

Your Excellency, before your official handover come May, 29 2015 every step or decision taken is as good as a foundation been laid for the next 4 years. I am driving towards your just inaugurated transition committee. My candid observation with the way and manner you set up your transition committee with the over floading of over flogged horses and names synonymous with corruption  is very alarming. The compositional structure does not reflect the calibre of people that will get us out of the dead wood we found ourselves in Niger State.

Your Excellency, many see the majority members of the committee as old wine in a new bottle while others see them as the return of the destroyers of the Kure and Aliyu’s administration joining forces to be cloud the incoming administration that will not engage in ‘Business As Usual’.

It is also very important since the committee has already been inaugurated for you set up what, can be termed as Niger State Gubernatorial Advisory Committee to come up with a blueprint on the WAY FORWARD from the present state of Niger State infrastructural, social, economic and educational status.
