New Kebbi Governor, Atiku Bagudu Takes Oath Of Office

The newly elected executive governor of Kebbi state, Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu and his deputy Samaila Yombe Dabai have been sworn in.

The state chief judge, Justice Ibrahim Bala Mairiga administered the oath of allegiance on the governor and his deputy at the Haliru Abdu stadium, Birnin Kebbi

Speaking shortly after taking oath of allegiance governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu commended people for given the APC a mandate to pilot the affairs of the state.

He gave an assurance that his administration will bring positive changes in governess by coming out with policies aimed at repositioning the state.

Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu vowed to tackle the lingering problems of poverty and unemployment, saying the APC led administration was resolved in creating wealth and jobs opportunities to the people of the state.

Governor Atiku Bagudu also added that part of the strategies to be taking by his administration is restoration and revitalization of Argungu international fishing and cultural festival as well as other tourism attraction in all the nook and cranny of the state

Speaking shortly after handing over the instrument of power to Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, the immediate past deputy governor of the state, Alh. Ibrahim k. Aliyu said the documents included that of the structure of the government, functions and responsibilities of ministries and agencies as well as asset and liabilities.

The swearing in ceremony was attended by Emirs of Gwandu, Argungu, Yauri, and Zuru, senator Muhammad Adamu Aliero, senator Yahaya Abubakar Argungu and senator Bala Ibn Na’allah, politicians, religions leaders and well wishers   from within and outside the state.
