Nentawe’s Judgement: Deputy National Secretary Of APC Assures Aggrieved Aspirants Of No Victor No Vanquish, Says No One Will Be Expelled

Yakubu Busari

The Deputy National Secretary of the All Progressive Congress  APC, Hon .Festus Faunter has assured all aggrieved aspirants of the party that there is no victor no vanquish and no intimidation or plan on the ground to expel any member who took them to court to exercise his franchise.

Festus stated after the judgment obtained at the Federal High court premises while in the audience with journalists in Jos.

He said, ” we have no plan on the ground to expel any aggrieved aspirants of the APC who might have dragged the party to court in the aftermath of the primary conducted and they felt sub change, especially those who contested gubernatorial primary seat and the statement peddled around is just the imagination of the opposition “.

Hon Festus Faunter disclosed that the judgment of Dr Nentawe is a sign of victory to the party and that clearly demonstrated that APC is going to win with a landslide victory in the forthcoming general elections.

He stressed that justice in furtherance will consolidate the hope and desire for them to win, this is indeed a milestone for the party because this is one of the several cases in court most cases are interparty arising from the conduct of the primary.

Festus said, we can’t celebrate this victory because there is no vanquish, no victor so we have to go back to the drawing board to work on all those that have complained, we shall all come together to see how to fine-tune for the main election rather than close doors is not a situation where we begin to mock others

He maintained that NWC has concluded the arrangement by setting up six members committee to reach out to all aggrieved aspirants including those that left across all the geopolitical zones to carefully look at the complaints.

Festus noted that party men and women are going sit down to assure them no one shall be punished to resolve all issues amicably, the electorate is divided amongst those aspirants so we can’t afford to send anyone from the party but ensure that they’re reconciled all to remain stronger ahead of the elections.

He reiterated that this is an opportunity for the party to call on everyone to a round table dialogue with them for the party to forge ahead.

Meanwhile, counsel to INEC, Barr. Harrison Ogbole , says we are happy about the way judgment went because right from the beginning the case lacks merit and the suit is status barred.

According to judgment , the plaintiff was still a public servant as of the time he contested the gubernatorial seat under the platform of APC and the court held that on all the grounds sought by the plaintiff the court dismissed it.

He stated that the claimant approached the court without focus when he knew that he has already withdrawn from the race at that time he was no longer an aspirant.

However, counsel to the plaintiff, Barr. Abbah said they are heading to appeal court to challenge the high court judgment even to the supreme court because his client participated in the elections.
