NBC Approve New Radio And TV Stations In Bauchi

The Nigerian Broadcasting Commission (NBC )has approved a new radio station and television house in Bauchi State the approval sign by President Muhammadu Buhari.

 

Abdul Ahmad Burra who is the consultant of the corporation made this in a press statement in Bauchi that said that the president also approved a license for the establishment of an International Television Station in Bauchi.

 

“President Muhammadu Buhari has approved a license for our company, Eagle Broadcasting Corporation Limited to establish a private radio, Eagle Radio in Bauchi”, parts of the statement reads.

 

According to him, the license is part of the ones approved by the President for the establishment of radio and television stations across the country.

 

Burra said that the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) has also approved a license for the company to establish an international television station called Eagle TV in Bauchi.

 

“Our decision to venture into broadcasting is informed by the Company’s desire to bridge the information dissemination gap existing between parts of the country”, the Lead Consultant further explained.

 

He said that the decision was to also enable them to serve as the watchdog of the society, provide an arbiter for the citizens to attain their yearnings and aspirations through the media, and create job opportunities.

 

“”Eagle Radio Bauchi will use modern radio technologies to disseminate genuine media contents such as news, programmes, entertainments among others, to the people of Bauchi State and environs”, Burra noted.

 

He said on the other hand, Eagle Tv is an English-based international television that will focus on the dissemination of news and current affairs, documentaries, and discussions on all matters affecting the country and the world at large.

 

The Lead Consultant said that the company was presented the provisional license approval by the NBC during a ceremony that took place at the Commission’s headquarters in Abuja.

 

He said that the structures for the two broadcasting stations are being erected and equipment installation is being done.

 

While expressing hope that as soon as the installations are completed, the stations are going to commence broadcasting in the next few weeks.

 

Burra noted that they will bring on board reputable professionals in all aspects of broadcasting to give Bauchi people the best of media content.
