The Nigerian Bar Association Chairman, Plateau state Chapter, Bar Ledak Dafer has urged Plateau State Government to give priority to the problem of insecurity and payment of workers’ salaries.
Dafer said Plateau state government sponsored over 50 lawyers for this year Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) programme in Abuja.
He advised Governor Simon Lalong to desist from sycophants and focus on meaningful project by ensuring that workers receive their salary as at when due.
Speaking yesterday at the NBA office in Jos, Dafer urged Lalong to ensure that the government carry everybody along in his developmental plan of action.
He said the present government should embark on people oriented programme that have direct impact on the lives of people who at the grassroots, we understand the suffering of our people.
The NBA chairman emphasised the need for judiciary ,NBA to partner towards building synergy in fighting corruption which have become a norm in our society today’s , so we need to organise a crusade to enlighten other.
He advised Lalong to concentrate on things ahead and look at critical areas where his successor failed and make adjustment to bring change in the government.
“We are ready to support his programme and the government to ensure that there is security surveillance to help in the fight against insurgents in the state.”
Dafer called on people of Plateau state to support the government so that it would overcome all challenges bedevilling the state.
