The Magistrate court sitting in Doma Local Government Area of Nasarawa State and presided over by the Chief Magistrate, Hauwa Onuku, has granted bail to the State General Manager (GM), the first respondent, and the Commander-in-charge of the Doma branch of the Nasarawa State Youth Empowerment Scheme.
The Magistrate who handed over a document of the matter involving the G.M of NAYES, Abdullahi Bala Likita, the Commander Doma Local Government Area, Abubakar Mohammed Dan Baba.
The defendants before the court, who are seven staff members of NAYES, are accusing the G.M and the Commander of Doma of withholding their 22 months, nine months, and 7 months’ salaries, respectively.
The court interpreter read to Commander Doma branch the content of the document, which includes breach of trust by selling an operational vehicle purchased with the three months’ salary to NAYES, deducted from their salaries.

The Counsel to the General Manager, who apologised before the court, said the G.M has an assignment at the Government House.
Barr.U.I Galle, Counsel to the General Manager, told the honorable court that its staff did not owe a penny.
He, however, pleaded with the court to be lenient to the Commander Doma branch, Abubakar Mohammed Dan Baba, by allowing him to present 1 person as surety in the matter.
“The Commander is a family man; if he sends any other person under him will suffer”.
“I’m pleading with the honorable court to allow Commander Doma’s branch because today is Friday for him to meet the demand of bail,” said the Counsel.
The Chief Magistrate granted him bail with money valued N2,000,000 million and the matter was adjourned to the 25 of June 2026 to enable the parties to resolve the rift.
The seven defendants are from the Doma branch. They are Jibrin Abdullahi, Rabiu Abdullahi Okawu, and others.
