The National council of states today rejected the demand for the postponement of the February 14th and 28th General election.
The council after an eight hour meeting announced that the election will go on as scheduled by INEC, according to the Imo State Governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha who addressed correspondents after the meeting said the council agreed that the election will not be postponed since the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC had expressed readiness for the conduct of the election.
According to Okorocha the security chiefs also confirms its preparedness and readiness for the election.
