Nasarawa Student Association President Raises Alarm Over Extortion By Principals/Headmasters Despite The Free Education Policy By Rabiu Omaku, Lafia

The President Nasarawa State Student Association, Esson Bako has challenged the state governor, Umaru Tanko Al-Makura to accord topmost priority to the free education policy by penalizing recalcitrant principals and headmasters collecting school fees.
Esson Bako, NASSA president gave the hint when they executive of the students union paid a courtesy call to the executive chairman of the Nasarawa State Universal Basic Education Board.
He lament the rising spate of unqualified teachers in the state, calling  for a synergy between the Association and government to the system of unqualified teacher and angered one “the free education was a bad light to the primary and secondary schools”.
“We would partner the National Teacher’s Institute in the area of teachers training institute.

The NSUBEB chairman, Abdulkarim Muhammed Abdullahi commended NASSA for the visit, promising to  do more in fighting  extortion .
