Nasarawa State: Physically Challenged Persons Pray For The Recuperation of President Buhari

The Joint National Association for Persons with Disability (JONAPWD) Nasarawa State Chapter has organized a one-day special prayers for quick recuperation of President Muhamadu Buhari,the Association which comprises of the blinds, deaf, cripples, leapers and amongst others held the prayer session on Thursday at the Comprehensive Special School, Lafia.

Innocent Ladan, the State Chairman of the association maintained that a prayer session for God intervention on the health challenges of the President became imperative to the ongoing change mantra of the ruling All Progressives Congress.

“We pray that the good Lord in his infinite mercy will give our President the grace to recover quickly and return back to continue his duties”.

“We believe that God who answer prayers without discrimination provided you call on him in truth will heal the President no matter the level of the illness.

“Even our Holy Books, ‘Bible and Quran’ have told us to respect our leaders and pray for them, hence the need for this special prayer,”.

The Association also prayed to God to protect Governor Umaru Al-Makura and grand his him his heart desire.

Ladan explained that the governor has made the welfare of persons with disabilities his utmost priority by free education and medical care to persons with disabilities as commended the governor for buildings of three special schools in the state.

Abubakar Musa, State Chairman of Cripples association thanks the governor for making official pronouncement of granting automatic employment to some of their members in Dunama Secondary School Lafia.

The Association also applauded governor Umaru Tanko Al-Makura for appointing their member as Special Assistant to the governor, he however appealed to the state government to fulfill some it promises.

He listed the unfilled promised of offering automatic employment to other members with Degree, HND, Diploma, NCE, saying by so doing will go a long way in reducing the suffering of their members.

The Special Assistant to the governor on disability matters, Saleh Barde said they have declared their support for the governor to contest for Senate in 2019.

He explained that given the passion the governor has for them and his records of achievements, if he is in the Senate the pending, starting that.

‘Disability Bill’ at the National Assembly would be passed into law if elected to the Senate.
