Nasarawa State Assets Are Unnecessary Properties-APC Responds PDP, APGA

The ruling All Progressives Congress in Nasarawa State has commended the state governor, Umaru Tanko Al-Makura for taking a good position towards the sales of state assets, stating that the assets are unnecessary properties.

Philip Tatari Shekwor, the APC chairman made the assertion during a press briefing held at the party headquarters in Lafia.

Shekwor said the opposition party; the People’s Democratic Party did the worst destruction and should remain mute but not crying a pretentious cry and shedding crocodile tears.

Shekwor described the lengthy write up of the People’s Democratic Party as damned falsehood and mischief, commending the 24 members of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly for the wisdom to give the governor the authority to sell state assets.

“We challenge the opposition for saying that the exercise is fraudulent or that is an act of connivance is not only mischievous but amounts to been economical with the truth as there is nothing to suggest connivance to commit anything evil against the state and her people who party and the government hold sacred”.

The ruling party in the state, the All Progressives Congress lauded the governor for the vision and initiative to save the state from the unnecessary financial burden and outright loss of properties through dilapidation and illegal occupation that these so-called assets have become.

He castigated the successive regimes of The PDP to have allowed the inherited legacies to rot, describing all the inherited structures as unviable ventures

“We in the ruling Party applauded the state Assembly for their foresight and support for the laudable initiative, this single action has indicated that the lawmakers are on the side of government.

“There is no point keeping properties in question that has no commercials value to the people except for the pride of we have owned them”.

The All Progressives Congress lambasted the People Democratic Party for leasing Lagos property to some individuals in a questionable manner.

“The act of the former administration resorted to the legal battle to reclaim the properties consuming about N200m, Lagos liaison office was converted to the hotel under Governor Abdullahi Adamu”.

He chastises the opposition parties for inciting confusion with baseless allegations and attacks on the progressive government and person of Governor Umaru Tanko Al-Makura.
