Nasarawa Police Corrects Conflicting Figure Of Persons Arrested in Connection to Wanton Violence By Rabiu Omaku, Lafia

The Police in Nasarawa State  had corrected a a conflicting figure it gave last week on the number of people apprehended in connection to ethnic and communal violence in the state, the Police Public Relation Officer, Ugochukwu Theodore has confirmed.
The PPRO stated this during a press briefing held at the State Criminal investigation Department yesterday. Theodore confirmed  that the figure of  40 persons arrested was a conflicting report.
He disclosed that all those arrested  was part of the success report of the Police in the month of November, those arrested are Amos Allu, Ibrahim Yahuza, Hamza Jibrin, Faisal Sani, Isa Abdullahi and 16 others.
Others paraded are Ibrahim Audu, Adamu Musa, Elijah Shehu and James Ayiwulu and Gideon Dogo were arrested in possession of Firearms.
The Police Command also arrested Alhassan Sani, Owuse Adeka, Aza James, Tyoalum Thomas, Alhaji Nii and Alhaji Labari
He further said dangerous weapons recovered include charms, knives, Machete.
The PPRO affirmed that other categories of criminals are armed robbery, he unfolded 5 persons were apprehended in the month of November, he opined that one person was arrested of kidnapping defilement while 4 arms were recovered.
Ugochukwu Theodore revealed that one Sandra Linu was arrested for kidnapping and attempt to commit culpable homicide.
The PPRO, said at about 23 15 hours one Ogbonna Njoku an under age of Chief’s Palace Masaka  was kidnapped by Sandra Linus and Anna Ndidi both of Angwan Masaka.
