Nasarawa LG Polls; APC Chairmanship Aspirants To Pay N1.2M For  Nomination Forms, Expression of Interest

Tongues continued to wag amongst the fold of the ruling All Progressives Congress over the amount for nomination forms and expression of interest.

 

According to the Time Table released, The ruling APC during an interview said the sales of forms would commence by Thursday 15th July 2021.

 

The Party fixed N1,000,000m for the Chairmanship nomination form and N200,000 for expression of interest while the nomination form for Councillorship goes for N250,000 and N50,000 for expression of Interest.

 

Some of the aspirants expressed discontentment over the hike of nomination and expression of interest forms by the Party.

 

The complaint was coming at a time the State Chairman of the opposition political party in the State, Hon. Francis Orogu decried the high cost of the forms to be sold by the Nasarawa State Independent Electoral Commission.

 

The Chairmanship aspirant said the decision of the ruling Party was to scare people with integrity that do not have money to run away from the contest.

1. Expression Of Interest Form 200,000 Naira
2. Nomination Form 1 Million Naira.

 

COUNCILORSHIP

1. Expression Of Interest Form 50,000
2. Nomination Form 250,000.

 

The Party said all physically impaired aspirants would have a discount of fifty percent of the amount

 

The party fixed Chairmanship election for Thursday 22, July 2021 while Councilorship; Wednesday 21 July 2021.
