Nasarawa Justice Commissioner Donates CCTV, IPADS, Laptops, Photocopiers And Printers To Police, NSCDC

Nasarawa state commissioner of Justice, Honorable Abdulkarim Abubakar Kana in his determination to enhance the quick dispensation of criminal Justice system in the state has donated sophistication communication gadgets to the Nigeria Police and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps.

 

The Justice commissioner gave the disclosure during the official handing over of communication gadgets ranging from CCTV camera, Laptop, 8 Tecno iPad F7, Photocopier, printer to the heads of legal units of the Police and Civil Defense in his office.

 

Barrister Kana expressed satisfaction over the way and manner arrest were effected as well investigation are conduct by the police and Civil Defense.

 

He said the sophisticated devices would assist in gathering appropriate and adequate evidence from recalcitrant.

 

The commissioner of Justice lauded the commitment of security agencies for the effort of combating crimes in the state.

 

He further added that the brand new devices are needed for the profiling of criminals through data capture and fingerprints of those apprehended.

 

The A.G averred that the concrete ties between the Ministry of Justice ,NSCDC and the police would be strengthene, saying the ministry will do more by building an interrogation room as part of his ministry’s contribution.

 

He appealed to the beneficiaries to ensure that maintenance culture was observed , He also emphasized on the need for proper handling and usage of the facilities and what they are meant for.

 

According to him,”I will like to tell you that the facilities donated are strictly for official duty not for house usage”.He warned.

 

The representative of the Commandant NSCDC, Habu Fari represented by the head of legal unit, Yammani Ahmed who received the items donated expressed happiness over the donation.

 

Ahmed said the donation was coming at a time the corps are making frantic effort to tackle the rising waves of crime in the state.

 

He assured the commissioner that the communication gadgets would be properly utilized, He in addition said the facilities would serve as a morale booster.

 

The head of legal unit of NSCDC said the devices would strike out issues of duress during investigation.

 

The commissioner of police, represented by the head of legal unit, Jacob Audu Idoko Esq, lauded the support given to the police by the ministry of Justice.

 

On his part, He unveiled that the unit would ensure the application of maintenance culture.
