Nasarawa Deputy Governor Gives Lifeline To 100 Vulnerable Women

Nasarawa State Deputy Governor in continuation of his support to the less privileged has supported One hundred women in Obi Local Government Council.
Bringing the number of beneficiaries to 430 from Doma, Lafia, and Obi Local Government Council respectively.
The Deputy Governor said the aim of the empowerment scheme was meant to improve their trade as well boost the economy of the State.
Urging the beneficiaries to resist any middle man requesting a kickback from them, He explained that the distribution of cash in Lafia was married by complaints.
The Chairman Dr. Emmanuel Akabe Empowerment Scheme, Adamu Apasa disclosed that the N1, 000,000 Million disburse to 100 women is from the pocket of the Deputy Governor
He called on the beneficiaries of N10, 000 to properly utilize the cash.
The Director-General of Nasarawa Geographic Information System, Sunny Agassi in his submission said Sa’adatu Ayitogo is the next Chairman of Obi Local Government Council.
He commended the Deputy Governor for his doggedness and resilience by supporting the womenfolk.
The immediate past Council Chairman of Obi Local Government, Hon. Mohammed Oyige in his speech said Obi Local Government is and would be solidly behind the ruling All Progressives Congress.
He stated that the defection of Alhaji Umaru Abdullahi from the opposition political space, The People’s Democratic Party, The PDP is in APC.
Oyige opined that the success of the PDP in Obi Local Government remains bleak, especially with the forthcoming Local Government Council election slated for October 6, 2021.
The former Commissioner, Hon.Sa’adatu Ayitogo cautioned the beneficiaries to utilize the money, property instead of using it to purchase veil or the food rather tasked them to invest the money in the right direction.
The Executive Chairman of Nasarawa State Universal Basic Education Board, Mohammed Dan’azumi applauded the Deputy Governor for the upliftment of the vulnerable women in the State.
