Nasarawa APC Lampoons PDP of Politcising Insecurity Under Governor Al-Makura By Rabiu Omaku
The Nasarawa State Chapter of the All Progressive Congress has accused the opposition party, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP of politicising the unabated killings by Ombatse militia, an Eggon cult group.
The chairman of the party, Philip Tatari Shewkor in his speech affirmed that the present administration inherited quantum crisis in the past. He cited some of violence to include Alago-Tiv Clash, Tiv-Fulani Clash, Bassa-Igbira crisis, Eggon-Migili clash.
The chairman also accused the opposition party and all stakeholders in the PDP to aiding crisis by shunning all peace pact organised by Governor Umaru Tanko Al- Makura describing the bloodlet for their selfish interest.
“We expect maturity in their utterance rather than these reckless unguarded ones than smack of criminal libel and insensitivity.”
The APC accused the Federal Government of aiding Ombaste activities in the State, the APC, however rejected the claims of accusing the APC of importing mercenaries into the state.
“The Ombatse activities are aimed at; “political, ethnic cleansing’’ when the Eggons killed Alago in Assakio, Migili, Gwandara, Fulani, but when the Fulani’s are killing the Eggons is suddenly a political ethnic cleansing.”
The APC called on all and sundry to partner the state government in ensuring total peace in the state, he said the aim of the PDP in Nasarawa State is to make the State ungovernable.
The chairman, Philip Tatari Shekwor categorically revealed that Nasarawa crisis is politically motivated to give a dog a bad name. The PDP certain intelligent information that can help halt this mayhem.
“The PDP should make effort to bringing an end to these conflicts since they know where these mercenaries are camped. It is doubtful if PDP will hearkened to this call as their antecedents in that part has shown that they are only interested in making wild unsubstantiated allegations.”
The APC called on all loving people in the state to tolerate one another by working towards ensuring a complete peace he ensued.
