Nasarawa APC Chairmanship And Councillorship Aspirants Grumble Over Primary Election Pattern

The Caretaker Committee Secretary of the ruling All Progressives Congress in Nasarawa State, Aliyu Bello has said any aspirants ranging from Chairmanship and Councillorship alike that did not know the pattern of primary election should be disqualified from contesting for elective positions.

 

He stated this while fielding questions from Journalists at the venue of the Chairmanship and Councillorship screening exercise held at Luxury Hotel, Lafia.

 

He explained that the party’s constitution makes it clear and is contained in the party guideline make available to all aspirants.

 

“Any aspirant that is not conversant with the pattern to be adopted is not qualified to contest for any position in the APC”

 

According to him, “if the party exhausted all avenues for consensus primary election is the final decision”.

 

The construction of the ruling All Progressives Congress gave three options for election, That is either through Direct, Indirect or consensus.
