The Acting chairman said fewer efforts to build a virile platform was brought into the party by the chairman but not someone that put his ambition first.

He, therefore, called on members of the public not to have any business with the embattled chairman.

The Acting Chairman Yusuf Ishaku and Yahaya Mohammed, Secretary of the party disclosed this while addressing Newsmen shortly after a meeting of the state working committee of the party in Lafia.

He said the state working committee had on August 25 passed a vote of no confidence on the chairman for anti-party activities, stating further that the national headquarters of the party was aware of the inaction of the Chairman.

“The national headquarters called us for a roundtable discussion where it was agreed that he should step aside after one month to give room for someone to take over the leadership of the party,” he added.

He explained that ADP as a new party wants someone who would publicize it and give room for new members including those with the intention to run for elective positions.

“What we expect from the Chairman was to embark on sensitization and mobilization of new members to register with the party, but he could not because he has declared his intention for governorship”.

The Acting Chairman accused Yusuf Nagogo of not calling or holding any meeting since the formation of the party for the purpose of designing a programme of action.

Reacting, Nagogo described the action as baseless as he still remains the Nasarawa State chairman of ADP.

He, therefore, said that the exco claiming that they removed him lacks the constitutional powers to call the meeting and take any decision.
