Nasarawa 5th Assembly Are Rubber Stamp-Labaran Maku

The governorship candidate of the All Progressive Grand Alliance in 2015 election, Labaran Maku has described the fifth Nasarawa State House of Assembly as rubber stamp.

Former minister of information described the resolution and approval of the House of Assembly allowing the state governor, Umaru Tanko Al-Makura to sell the state assets as a fictitious resolution.

Maku lampooned the APC controlled Assembly as a charade representing themselves but not their constituents.

Labaran Maku hinted this during a press briefing at his abode in Akwanga.

He said the authority given to governor Al-Makura was done through the back door,he however said the entire process supposed to passed through public hearing or debate but the whole process was done in 30 minutes”.

He said the fifth Assembly is a total disappointment to the populace of Nasarawa State and the yet unborn generation.

“Former governor of Plateau state, Solomon Lar is in a good position to sale some of the properties inherited from the defunct Benue-Plateau, My boss, Abdullahi Adamu, and Akwe Doma also ignore the sales of our inheritance because of the importance of the landed properties and why should Al-Makura from nowhere took such a decision.

“We don’t have House of Assembly reasons been that they are there just to protect their pockets instead of been the last resort of the people of Nasarawa State.
