NANS Mourns Bauchi Students

The National Association of Nigerian Students, NANS Zone “A” expressed sadness over the death of 21 students and 2 teachers of Command Day Junior Secondary Misau, of Misau Local Government Area of Bauchi State.

In a press statement signed by the Zone A Public Relations of the association, Mukhtar Muhammad Mk said the students’ body deeply touched by the passing of 23 of the best young minds, students and teachers, who were returning from an excursion journey from Kano state.

The students and teachers died on Tuesday in a ghastly automobile accident on their way from Kano after an excursion trip. The bus conveying the victims collided head-on with an articulated vehicle along Kano to Gaya road in Kano state, resulting in the death of 11 male and 10 female students, as well as their teachers.

The statement added that “It is with great sorrow and a heavy heart that the hand finally finds the words to write, words of sympathy even to self for in the circumstances, for others, over the death of 23 students of Command Day Junior Secondary school Misau. It’s indeed sardonic and painful for a society to bury its young, like minds, when they go in pursuit of knowledge. The National Association Of Nigerian Students offer its condolences to Bauchi state government, Misau emirate council,  all affected people, and the entire people of Bauchi state and Nigerian Students in general.

The National Association of Nigerian Students prayed to Allah to accept the souls of the deceased and forgive their sins.
