Governor Caleb Mutfwang has promised to build Jos /Bukuru market as a major means of government policy to further boost the economic activities by setting aside 1 billion naira for young entrepreneurs in Plateau State to enhance the processing and marketing.
He said the completion of the exercise would harness the potential of Plateau State towards redesigning the transformation of the economy’s well-being by enhancing the agriculture commodity marketing roadmap.
Mutfwang stated this during two two-day workshops on a statewide sensitization programme on commodity marketing and food security, a sustainable roadmap for Plateau State held at Eliel Centre Jos.
He said he is delighted in building the new challenges period in our nation history where food insecurity bedeviling Plateau State and Nigeria.
Mutfwang’s assured the people of sustainable policy in promoting industrial growth using the richly endowed mineral deposits to drive the state development and the rich potential in tourism, tomatoes, Irish, with branding to achieve global best practice with the aim at live a lives of prosperity in agriculture.
According to Mutfwang, Plateau rural communities are agrarian in nature and agriculture if properly harness we are going to enjoy the dividends because it is the highest employer of labour this can only be achievable if we develop our own market processing in agricultural revolution.
He explained further that the government is working hard to ensure that it stop banditry, herder’s farmers clashes and stabilize the economy of the people.
Mutfwang’s disclosed that the youth entrepreneurship program may soon kick start because our farmers have been cheated for too long and they need to get value for their labour.
