Mutfwang Lays A Wreath On The Foot Of An Unknown Soldier

The  Plateau State  Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang has laid a wreath on the foot of an Unknown Soldier in remembrance of the Nigerian Army who has sacrificed towards the consolidation of harmonious peaceful coexistence.

Governor mutfwang called on Government to do more for the lives of our fallen heroes says, we need to continue to pay tribute to our fallen heroes.

He said the Emblem is a period for me to say thank God for spearing the lives of soldiers and promised to create an atmosphere of peace.

Mutfwang in honour of Armed Forces Remembrance launch Day and Emblem Appeal launch and assure of redeeming the promise at the foot of a Nigerian soldier, Joseph Gwomwalk secretariat roundabout.

The governor performed the laying of the wreath, which was followed by the speaker of Plateau State House of Assembly Honorable , Dewam Gabriel, chief judge of plateau state David Mann, the (GOC),3rd Armored Division JOS Major General Abubakar Abdulasam, Commander, Nigeria Air Force station Jos, Commissioner of Police, Plateau state command, commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps and other senior military and paramilitary serving and retired officers.

Mutfwang after the inspection of the guard of Honour, also released pigeons to signify the return of peace and unity of the state and the country at large.

He commended the Nigerian military for their fighting against the Boko Haram insurgents in the North -East which is recording great success in the restoration of peace in Plateau State.

“All common-Wealth countries celebrate the 11th November (11/11) each year to honour the military men that laid down their lives during the world wars, he noted.

According to him, “It is in view of this that Nigeria holds its own celebration every January 15th and this tally with our historical development. This celebration is not only unique, but it is to every Nigeria as we use this golden opportunity to pay tributes to our Armed Forces and indeed other members of the security agencies who have laid down their lives in Defence of the unity of this country as a result of the current security challenges that have bedeviled our dear country”.

Mutfwang after the Wreath laying ceremony, expresseed excitement with the resilience of the men of the armed forces, especially in respect to the security situation in recent years.

He said:  “We are also celebrating the return of the peace and landslides judgment 

“We are using this message to congratulate President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (GCFR) to show our gratitude to the armed forces for the protection and  ensuring that we have peace in the state and the country.

Caleb Manasseh said his administration accords priority to support the security agencies in their discharge of official duty.

He expressed satisfaction with the security operative in hosting the armed forces remembrance day because the president is committed to the current struggle, adding, that his hard work and assurance to take care of the families of the fallen Heroes cannot be compromised.
