Miyetti Allah Says Plateau Police Linking Them To  Ncha Massacre Is  Cheap Blackmail

The Plateau State Chapter of Miyetty Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN),have dared the outgoing Plateau State Police Commissioner ,CP Peter Ogunyanwo for linking the barbaric mayhem in Ncha with their members, he also said it a cheap blackmail orchestrated to create hatred between natives and herders .

The statement reads, “It wasn’t our People that did the attack, and we don’t know the hoodlums that did it, but we don’t know why the CP, developed hatred against us and had apportioned the blame on us.”

During their interview they debunked insinuations that herders killed Irigwe in Bassa Local Government Area of Plateau State.

The State Chairman and Legal adviser, Nuru Abdullahi and Barr. Salihu Muhammad, said Police Commissioner, Peter Ogunyanwo, was biased in his statement alleging that, “the attack was a reprisal by suspected Fulani herders.”

Barrister, Muhammad pointed out that, “the problem was that the Police, which have the constitutional responsibility to investigate and prosecute any alleged offence, unfortunately have today, “

We are shock when; “the Commissioner of Police reached to the conclusion that it was our People that did the attack even before and has fell to do thorough investigate those who perpetrated heinous crime against humanity.”

He said it was false and it wasn’t their People that did the attack, stressing that; “it was unfortunate to hear the CP, who is the head of investigation and prosecution to make this false allegations.”

Mallam Nuru Abdullahi, said his People are not ready for any blood shedding, that was why they even wrote a complaint to the CP, after the killing of their boy.

According to him, they have pacified and calmed down their People, not to take any law into their hands, which the herders have obeyed the opinions of their leaders.

He The MACBAN Chairman, said already four other communities that surrounded the village where the attack took place, have unresolved dispute over land.
