The group’s spokes person Alh Umar Muazu yesterday told journalists in a press conference held in Gombe that, as concerned citizens of the state, which is working towards ensuring sustainable development of the state, received the news of Amina’s nomination by the president with great joy, even as he said, the group was willing to support the development by ensuring that she has been confirmed as minister.
Muazu who also said the group was created to promote harmony, and peaceful coexistence among the people in the state, however said, it has come to the notice of the group the recent controversy orchestrated by some people who tried to question her eligibility as a minister to represent the state.
According to him such was an effort by some people who do not really have the interest of the state at heart to frustrate any development that may come to the state.
“Some unscrupulous people from Gombe decided to join in writing a petition to the senate that Amina is not from Gombe state, and that she is not qualified to be a minister to represent Gombe state. So that is why we organised ourselves invited our elders who could give her bio data, in other to tell the whole wold that she is bonafide citizen of the state and is qualified for the position.” Muazu explained.
According to him, the group does not only support the ministerial nomination, but in full support to President Buhari’s policies, which he said is geared towards development of the country.
