The Executive Chairman of Jos North Local Government Council, Shehu Bala Usman has condemned the attack on farin Lamba Turu in Jos South Local Government Area.

The Chairman while extending his sympathy to families and victims, in a statement in Jos noted that he was deeply touched by the news of the killing of innocent lives who were miners looking for their source of livelihood.
While lamenting on the dastardly attacks, the Chairman said Jos North and South are neighbors therefore, what affect Jos South Local Government Area and its people invariably affects Jos North the share boundaries, and cosmopolitan nature, hence the need to share in their pains.
The Chairman conveyed his deepest sympathy to the Government and people of Jos South Local Government, Plateau State and the families of the victims.
The Chairman lamented that despite efforts of the Plateau state Government and the authorities of Jos South Local Government to wipe out crime and criminality, criminal elements whose activities is to deprive innocent citizens of their means of livelihoods are bent on inflicting pains on innocent citizens, stressing that evil cannot triumph over good no matter how long it takes.
He called for collaborative actions against criminals who have no regard for sanctity of human life.
Usman appealed to security operatives to go after the attackers and work assiduously to put an end to these callous and dastardly acts which has retarded not only the progress of the Local government, but the entire state at large.
He advised the people of Jos North Local Government Area to remain calm as a result of the killings and go about their normal businesses without fear of any whatsoever as his administration is in touch with the conventional and non conventional security agencies to ensure a crime free society.
