The Operation Save Heaven (OPSH) saddled with the responsibility of maintaining peace in Plateau state has paraded four suspected gun runners and one military impersonator in the state.

Major General Tagbo Ude who is the OPSH commander in the state revealed that the arrest of the suspected gun runners came following a coordinated effort by the security agents.

Ude said; “the three suspects are members of a gun running syndicate and we have been on their trail for the past three months. We have some of their weapons, two look like the Police Mac 4 and one is a locally made automatic weapon, but it is as proficient as our AK47 rifle.”

While parading the gun runners, Ude also said a Military impersonator  was also arrested a few days back in Mangu local government area of the State , adding that the impersonator had claimed to be Staff Sergeant.

The commander further expressed his worry over the way and manner the police and the courts gave bail to such criminals due to a lacuna in law and bureaucratic processes that involved.

He said that has been a great problem the military has been encountering, adding that the OPSH had called the attention of his Excellency, the Governor of Plateau State , urging for the establishment of  a special court to deal with such issues.
