Mid Term Report: Middle Belt Scores Jonathan High

The people of North central Nigeria have gave a past mark to president Jonathan government.

The group commended the developmental stride of Good luck Jonathan for given citizens participating leadership

Director General National Orientation Agency,Mr Mike Omeri  reiterated the critical mandates of enlightening the public on government policies programs and activities of President Goodluck Jonathan performance.

Speaking to our correspondent after the North central zone stakeholder’s conversation on the Midterm report of the present administration in Jos.

He said,  the achievements in physical infrastructure, exemplified by the current electricity generation of 4,500MW ,which is expected to rise to 9,000mw by the first quarter of 2014,are key service delivery indices, adding the report also sets out clear targets and performance indicators which are being tracked regularly through the ministerial scorecard.

The director general eluded the administration desire and capacity to transform institutional organization and human capital to support the yearning and aspirations of Nigerians through a blue print on key policies, programs and projects to be implemented during the 2011 to 2015 tenure.

Omeri said  that, it should be the interest of every patriotic Nigerian to see that this administration delivers historic transformation phenomenon for our beloved nation is achieved ,nevertheless ,generations yet unborn will benefit from such transformations, just as our children are now beneficiaries of the vision that established institutions like the university of Ibadan , Ahmadu Bello university ,University of Nigeria ,Nsukka among others which were established by our founding fathers.

He noted that against the back drop of insufficient jobs ,poverty, rising domestic debt ,high recurrent expenditure ,failing reserves , housing deficits, dependent on oil exports ,high inflation, poor infrastructure, high food importation as well as food insecurity, this administration set out to embark on the journey to change the trajectory of our country development through the fundamental elucidated in the transformation agenda.

Mike Omeri explained that unless members of the public are encourage to seek the facts and figures on the activities of government,many will be misled by falsehood very often peddle by mischief makers whose stock in trade is to ridicule every government and potray our nation as a place where nothing good can ever happen.

According to him, president Goodluck will want people to judge the performance of this administration and to also tackle poverty .

We are on the final stretch to democratic stability and maturity as evidence by the greater synergy between the institutions of state.

Other speakers expressed worried on the high rate of corruption and slow in government policy by calling on the federal government to reduce number of private universities and private schools to address disparity on education of our youth.
