Member Representing Langtang North /South, Hon Lar Frowns At STF Operation In Plateau, Seek Review Of Laws

The Member Representing Langtang North /South ,Hon Beni Butmak Lar has frowned at the incessant killing of innocent  lives, as she called for the review of Operation Safe Heaven (STF) laws which she said is not efficient, she also sought seek to see fresh change in security personnel’s in Plateau state and its environs.

She condemned in its totality the rampaging killings of innocent citizens in some communities as she said is an act very barbaric and inhuman.

Addressing Journalists at the People Democratic Party state secretariat  last Friday, Hon Lar raised alarm over the spate of attacks and rampaging killings of defenseless civilians.

She lamented that federal government should thoroughly investigate and review brutal murder of innocent civilians with the hope to see changes in handling of security personnel.

She applauded Governor Simon Bako Lalong for assuring Plateau indigent of bringing those perpetrators to face justice.

She said; “Plateau people are the most peaceful but those enemies who are working hard to bring division amongst us would not success in achieving the dirty plan.

“We should remain calm as the three lawmakers from Plateau state have moved a motion on the floor of the House of Representatives that the federal government should review the activities operation of Safe Heaven role.

She drummed support for anti-grazing law to avoid clashes between farmers and herders in Nigeria.

Lar maintained that in America and Europe then their major problem was constant clashes between farmers and herders but they introduced anti-grazing laws which resolved the lingering conflict.
