The Member Representing Langtang Central in the Plateau State House of Assembly, Hon. Nanbolistic Daniel has advocated for Tarok nation to educate their pregnant women to ensure the birth registration Programme is adhered to strictly and also school enrollment of pupils in public primary schools.
Speaking during an interactive session with the Tarok professional Journalists community, Nanbolistics unveiled a plan to help his constituent in Jos.
He disclosed why the members embarked on a reversal of the four-year tenure to a two-year tenure under the local government autonomy permitting them to take charge of their resources.
According to him, the federal government is proposing a year’s tenure for executive chairmen and Councilors in office but section 4 subsection 2, section 3(5), and 2 (10) of PLASIEC law haven’t been amended except section 7 of the constitution is amended.
He explained further that the issue of land grabbing is a matter of concern and the preservation of indigenous languages in Plateau State, if not the autonomy might inflict pain, we are still working hard to ensure that implementation doesn’t hurt the Plateau people.
Nanbolistics called on the Plateau Government to harness the mineral deposits in the state to improve the well-being of the citizenry.
He said the two years proposed for the tenure of executive chairmen and Councilors was to ensure check and balance to give others opportunities to showcase their talent.
Daniel advised that the contribution of the gesture through purposeful leadership would attract development at the grassroots.
He sued for the intervention of stakeholders, and traditional rulers in Tarok Land to take proactive measures to safeguard the lives of our unborn babies.
