Massive Job Creation, Establishment Of Industrial Technology Hub, Others, To Form Prof. Ikonne’s Policy Focus

Prof. Uche Ikonne, PDP gubernatorial candidate in Abia State has listed his policy focus to include massive job creation and the establishment of an industrial technology hub. Others are human capital development projects, the establishment of key enabling infrastructure.

Prof. Ikonne, while addressing a group, said that these policies will catalyse the economy.

According to him,”each of these key points is hugely impactful and when harmonised would create a holistic economic structure to make Abia economy one of the best in Nigeria “. He further noted:” Interestingly, the key points are strategically aligned as well as interlocked with one another to create a robust economic system that would catalyse and shoot Abia economy to the top in few years “.

” One of the biggest challenges facing all economies in the world, including great economies, is massive unemployment which in turn increase the rate of poverty that leads to insecurity, especially in poor countries of Africa, South America and Asia where there are no social safety nets for the economically vulnerable population, ” he said.

He also promised to prioritize massive creation of jobs as a measure to check the rising insecurity in the South East
