al-makura-labaran-makuThe National Secretary of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA and former Minister of Information, Labaran Maku on Friday refuted the allegations that N37bn was found in his farm saying the statement is completely false and part of an ongoing effort to blackmail his office.

The former minister, who made the clarification on his Twitter account @Makumaku2015 said the blackmail started after he challenged Nassarawa State Governor, Tanko Almakura to account for the allocations he collected from the state treasury as security votes.

The tweets @Makumaku2015: My attention has be drawn to a wicked, malicious, and evil blackmail in the social media that N37 billion was found on a farm allegedly belonging to me. First, they said they found $1 Billion Dollars on a farm allegedly belonging to me, but after they were attacked by Nigerians, they reduced it to N37 Billion so that people will believe their lies, But Nigerians are not fools and can smell blackmail

This evil blackmail on me on the social media is happening because I challenged ‪‎APC Gov Tanko Almakura to account for the estimated hundreds of millions of Naira he collected in four years as allocations to ‪#Nasarawa State yet the state is still in poverty.

I asked Gov Almakura to account for the N4.8 Billion he collected from the state treasury as security votes since people are dying. Instead of accounting for Nasarawa money and responding to the issues I raised, a twitter page belonging to Al-Makura group with the handle @taalcircle agents went on social media to slander me for fighting for my stolen governorship mandate in Nasarawa State,

If they are men enough let them not hide under social media to blackmail me. I challenge them to come out, address a press conference and lead journalists to the so called farm.
