Lawmaker Distribute Fertilizers, Spraying Machines To One Thousand Farmers

Member Federal House of Representatives representing Akwanga/Nasarawa Eggon/Wamba Federal constituency, Hon. Jeremiah Umaru of the ruling All Progressives Congress has distributed fertilizer and spraying machines to one thousand farmers to boost agricultural activities.

The distribution of the farm inputs took place at Akwanga Central Primary School in Akwanga Local Government Area of the   State at the weekend.

The Federal Lawmaker said the gesture was part of his efforts towards alleviating the sufferings faced by his constituents as a result of the removal of petroleum subsidies by the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu-led administration.

The Hon. member maintained that he will be fair to his people and will continue to remain focused at the National Assembly by doing what is right and humanly possible to improve the living standard of his constituents.

The Acting Chairman of the ruling party in the State, Aliyu Barde commended the Federal Lawmaker for his foresight on touching lives, saying the member is making the party proud and popular as he also advised him to sustain the good works he has already started.

Chun Mada and Chairman Akawnga Local Government Traditional Council, Samson Gamu Yare while responding on behalf of the beneficiaries expressed gratitude to Hon.Jeremiah Umaru’s kind gesture.

The royal father in addition says that the free fertilizer is a great relief to many farmers who could not afford it due to the current economic realities occasioned by the removal of fuel subsidy by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The Royal father admonished beneficiaries not to sell the farm inputs but to use the items purposefully to improve their livelihoods and ensure food security in the State and country.

There was fanfare by the benefiting farmers as the majority of them showered encomium on the Federal lawmaker who was supported by his colleagues representing Madagali – Michika Federal constituency of Adamawa State, Zakariah Dauda and that of Bagoro Dass – Tafawa Balewa Federal constituency in Bauchi State, Ja’afaru Gambo
