Lar , Tapgun ,Cheto, Boycotts PDP Rally By Yakubu Busari,Jos

The gubernatorial rally of the PDP in Southern Senatorial district was boycotted by Sen. Victor Rampyal Lar, Amb. Fedelis N. Tapgun ,Engr.Jimmy Cheto and Prof. Longmas Sambo Wapmuk in the southern senatorial district.

The drama which took two days ago during PDP  campaign rally in  the southern senatorial district of Plateau state, even as it was gathered that the PDP campaign rally recorded low turnout of Party supporters in   Langtang North, South ,Mikang ,Shendam and Wase  Local Government Areas.

The People Democratic Party PDP is currently in turmoil over the party’s governorship primaries in the state.

The primary which was conducted with eleventh aspirants gearing for the governorship ticket in the state was concealed following alleged electoral irregularities.

Following the non acceptance of the election result, defeated aspirants were directed to cast vote for themselves, another for any aspirant of their choice, after the exercise two aspirants declared to APC.

With this development, and not to leave anything   to chance by the party leadership in the state for the ruling party in the state, the People’s Democratic Party PDP, are also looking at the choice of the candidates that is most acceptable by the electorates in the state.

It was after these considerations that Jang swap office with his nephew a situation   which did not go down well with Plateau South. It was as a result of this unresolved   crisis that necessitated the National level of the party to summon the two duos involved in order to resolve the problem which was however failed.

Although its alleged that aggrieved supporters vowed to the party to produce candidate that will fly the party’s flag for 2015 governorship election in the State, or stand the risk of losing.

If this internal political crisis within the party continued, the APC in the state which pundits believed may not go anywhere in 2015 election, will win.
